That time when I decided on a whim that I needed to have purple hair...

I am currently house/puppysitting for some people and I wasn't sure how long it would take to get from their house out in East Jesus Nowhere to where I work. This experience with them has been ridiculous, but anyway because I had no idea how long it would take to get from them to work and wanted not to be late, I left super early to feed the dogs dinner.

Well, I didn't really need to panic. I got to work about an hour early. Literally an entire hour. Let me be clear, free time is not my friend. I get into trouble. I also work within walking distance at the salon that I get my hair colored at.

After getting my hair freshly ombred for the fall, I still was on the change hype. The lovely lady who does my hair is named Callie and she currently has a bit of blue striped through her hair which to me sounded like a great idea...only in purple. Thus, with an hour before work and boredom afoot, I decided why the heck not.

I now have a swath of royal purple adorning my scalp. It's been annoying me all night but once I wash it, it should blend in better with my hair and make me less irritated with its standoutyness. Yup, just invented a word. It is a real human hair extension that's been bonded to my hair with something akin to hair tape (?) and can apparently be re-bonded 3 times if necessary. I don't know how long I'll be in love with it and I'll probably put pictures up once I've washed my hair (which with my thick hair could take a couple days, just so you know). But, I thought since I have something to report, I might as well do so.

Friday Fess Up

I decided to start this as a possible Friday theme that I'll do every week. I'm thinking seven. Sounds like a good enough number when picking one arbitrarily. So that will be our things. Friday's seven "Fess Ups". Sometimes they'll be fun, sometimes they'll be serious. Depends on the week and how I feel when I get there.

Number One: I suck at blogging. I'm sorry guys. It's just something I haven't added to my regular routine quite yet. I'll get there. I promise. I'm thinking I'm just going to set little reminders up in my phone.

I've changed my mind about scheduling because between my internship and my real job my Mondays and Wednesdays are BOOKED up. I get about a 3 hour break between for changing and commuting but I'll be working from 8:00AM to 11:00PM every Monday and Wednesday for the foreseeable future.

Regardless, I will absolutely be making time to blog because I actually do want to get involved in it and have it be something I look forward to.

Number Two: I'm probably way too excited for Fall to get here. I will totally confess to having already made myself a mug of hot chocolate in my Willams-Sonoma hot chocolate maker and it was freakin' delicious if I do say so myself.

I also went a little fall smell crazy at bath and body works and bought myself a brand new Wallflower with 2 autumnal scents: Cider Lane and Pumpkin Caramel Latte. OH! and their Harvest Coffee scent in a mini candle...which is almost dead at this point because I've burned it all last night and today with the exception of the times that I'm sleeping.

I just love Fall. It's not too hot. It's not too cold. The clothes are infinitely cuter and more expressive than they are in Summer when you're just trying to cover yourself enough to be able to go outside without frying in the heat.

Number Three: I have a major watch issue. I own one for every day of the week but I always have my eye out for another one. Currently, it is this one: The Florence from Fossil
I just love the square face and the slightly over-sized quality that it has. For being a big fan of small jewelry, I have a tendency to gravitate toward large faced watches. The bigger, the better for me.

Number Four: I'm going through a severe mother-like phase. Now that Fall is rapidly approaching, to say that I am more than ready to also bust out my crockpot and cook HUGE meals for people is somewhat of an understatement. Anyone who follows me on Pinterest can attest to the fact that I pin food a lot. Constantly, in fact. Heck, between recipes and pictures of outfits that I should know how to style but am far too lazy to, food makes up most of what I pin.

Number Five: Patience is rapidly becoming a virtue that I'm adopting. After what was one hell of a weekend last week, I managed to get myself released from the relationship that I had been very much enjoying for the better part of this month. My sincerest hope is that between whatever was going on personally and my father going into the hospital that it was just a hair overwhelming and instead of wanting to end it for good, space and time will be enough to get us back on track again. This is probably not the best idea to share it in a blog but I'm putting it out into the universe and hoping against hope that its correct.

Number Six: I am now addicted to Duck Dynasty. I don't know what it is about that show but I am hooked. My little sister has been watching it obsessively for the last few months and even themed her graduation party around it but I held out for as long as possible before getting into it. In the vain hope that she was wrong and it wasn't television gold, I watched an episode about two weeks ago and that was it. I now have the A&E app on my Kindle Fire, specifically to watch Duck Dynasty episodes when they're available and I have them DVRed at the apartment so that I get not only the brand new episodes but the ones that are seasons old as well. It's just too damn funny to resist. Call me a redneck if you want but I'm keeping the bearded Robertson boys around for as long as A&E keeps them on TV.

This one is a little silly BUT I'm excited.

Number Seven: After almost 2 years, I have reached over 500 followers on Tumblr. I am happy to admit that I now spend less time than I did even a year ago on the blogging site but I have nonetheless reached over 500 followers this week. I have to admit, I LOVE my Tumblr and I have spent some time trying to make it into a page that is representative of what I'm thinking and feeling. I don't write anything but I do post pictures that change seasonally and depend upon my mood. I have a tendency not to go on for a few days at a time but when I do, I always make sure to post things and I constantly have my eye on the format and the music that I use so nothing gets stale. I hope that this blog will turn into something similar. I can't promise that my blog will, in fact be as carefully constructed as my Tumblr because frankly in a real blog I don't have the luxury of compiling other people's work and making it my own.

The One with the Conditional Agreement

Wellp ladies and gentlemen, I came in today to get released from the lease and walk out and my mom made me talk it out with my roommate. As of right now, I will be staying through the month of September. Trust me, bullshit. Especially after this weekend. But we'll see how everything goes through then.

Why this blog suffers from so many name changes...

...After the weekend from Hell, I have decided that blogging is definitely going to be becoming a seriously more regular thing in my life.

This blog, thus far has had 3 names? 4 names? I can't even remember anymore. It's literally because I haven't been able to pin down what I want to write about. BUT I feel like with a name like "Perpetual Gypsytude" I can write about whatever the heck I want to since the term Gypsy in and of itself implies a connotation of constant movement and change. LOOPHOLE!

Anyway, tomorrow is the day that I get out of my apartment and that's when the room re-do series shall commence. I'll have before pics up with a short blurb tomorrow morning before my mom and I leave for the apartment complex.

And once I start to complete things, I'll do posts on each of those. Sooooo we shall see how all this works out. But I promise more things will be coming out and I will be writing a heck of a lot more regularly.

In fact I've decided that I will be sticking to a Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule for sure with bonus posting on the weekends if I have anything to talk about...at least to start out with. That way I can train myself to take a more active role in blogging.

Woohoo!

Last night was the final evening of my summer school courses. Therefore ladies and gentlemen, I give you freedom for the next week...before I head off to school for what is going to be my final semester in school...EVER!

That means that for the next week, while I'm moving things out of my apartment and back into Mom and Dad's place, I will be posting all sorts of lovely decorate-y posts as we rearrange my bedroom into something resembling a place to sleep. Get. Excited.

Ladies and Gentlemen...

It's been real. But it hasn't been fun. At this point, the situation in my apartment is one I'm no longer willing to live in. I move out on the 29th of this month to go home to my parents' house. At least for a little while. I will still be blogging because honestly, I'm going to be redoing my entire room now that I will be there for at least a little while. Therefore, it's worth it to me to be able to switch it up and make it look nicer.

Supercalifragilisticexpialiultrafail!

Oh goodness! I've fallen off the wagon again. Over the last week, I have been so busy that I haven't had any time to work on the apartment at all, let alone blog. I promise that come this weekend there will be completed posts (with pictures) up about the bathroom and my newly decorated bedroom once I get all my hanging clothes from my parent's house tomorrow.
